The La Galarza plant is located in the municipality of Izucar de Matamoros, state of Puebla, it is located in what was originally a colonial hacienda dating back to the 17th century, it was transformed in 1956 to house the Bacardi alcohol and rum production plant.
The property has a total area of 57,060.16 M2 with a construction area of 16,483.6 M2between the productive area of the distillery and the residential houses, as well as the chapel from the end of the 17th century, in addition to an internal road of 12,651.72 M2and green areas of 22,996.25 M2.
The original structure of the hacienda retains its imposing appearance, with large open areas, high ceilings and stone walls.
